No, that's not the case, L1e-A (which permits 1000 watts) will not be treated as an EAPC. It's only a 250 watt pedelec that only departs from the rules in having a throttle which will still be considered an EAPC, and that ruling is only in Great Britain, not Northern Ireland or anywhere else in...

Thanks Sherman. So yours are the usual EU membership laws for both pedelecs (250watts no throttles) and the L1e-A 1000 watt class. The UK and I believe some other EU countries require a category Q driving licence as well as insurance for the 1000 watt L1e-A "motorised bicycle" class, but...

Member Tinu1234 in Finland previously confirmed to me that it's definitely only 250 watts and 25 kph. That's also EU law where throttles are not permitted, hopefully Sherman will enlighten on that point for Finland. .
