    Brexit, for once some facts.

There is little probability that the EU is going to oppose some zero for zero deals on important industrial products like cars, airplane parts, trains, generators etc because of the existing integrated manufacturing chains. Remainers will see difficulty wherever possible, brexiters won't want to...

    HUB MOTOR CAPABILITY

MS, there have been cases where the hall sensors are killed because the motor runs at too low speed for too long - eg on congested roads in London. Direct drive motors are not good at low speed.

    HUB MOTOR CAPABILITY

    HUB MOTOR CAPABILITY

you need 600W of mechanical power for 25mph, 1200W for 30mph. At this sort of speed, your direct drive gearless motor will run very efficiently. You will need a 1000W DD motor with 36V 35A controller for 25mph performance and 1500W DD motor with 48V 35A controller for 30mph. 500W direct drive...

    ASA ebike dongles

Next time, just make sure that you enjoy pedaling your new bike without power and as fast as you do (on flat roads) as with your normal bike. When I do demos, I always suggest customers to pedal without power at some stage during the test rides and ask them how they feel.

and possibly even faster because the hysterisis resistance (aka cogging) of your direct drive motor. CD and geared hub motors have none of that - with a strong torque motor, you can easily average 15mph on roads with light traffic pedaling for pleasure and without derestricting.

Your bike has a DD motor, not pleasant to pedal without assistance at high speed. If you buy a nice CD bike next time, especially one with skinny tyres, you can easily satisfy that addiction without derestricting.

nothing stops you to go faster than 25kph with your legs if you enjoy a bit of speed. Then when you feel a bit tired, you slow down a bit and let the motor takes the strain. You are still much faster with the motor than without.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

We can of course unilaterally charge zero tariff for importing from the EU to help our consumers and manufacturing companies. But there is a plausible theory that we will use article 24 of the WTO rules to negotiate a 10 years of 'zero for zero' tariff as part of transitional arrangements with...
