    Brexit, for once some facts.

I'll never learn that since it isn't true. Not only can everything change, the one certainty is that everything does change over time. You have totally the wrong idea, most of the 1950s is the very last place I want to go. Then England was a place of extreme bigotry, racism and narrow...

Came across this in my search for a 2 seater Pedelec

It was the same in the UK up to April last year, and even worse there was a 60 kilos (132 lbs) weight limit on trikes too. But then our government saw a degree of sense, allowing any number of wheels and completely removing the weight limits. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Really? I'm a cynic with these announcements about investment and X number of jobs being created. In reality all too often they eventually turn out to be little more than the announcement. I suspect they are very often just doing political favours with propaganda. What counts with me was GSK...

Ideal worlds don't just appear, they are created with effort by those with imagination. Those who don't try, don't succeed. .

    BORED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suppose I've been lucky too, riding motorbikes on and off over some 51 years, never been off on the road and never any injury. My first 22 years of riding was without any helmet. Consumer m/c helmets hadn't even been invented when I started riding. Never worn a bicycle helmet either. But...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

All a truck driver has in front of him are a sheet of thin steel and a sheet of laminated glass. Hot lead will stop him in his tracks, all it needs is presence of mind and I wouldn't hesitate in this circumstance. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Oddly enough it was Germany that first proposed an EU wide100 bhp limit long ago. The EU turned it down but France for some reason adopted it. There was a general thought at the time of Germany's proposal that it was because BMW at that time long ago couldn't match the Japanese sport bikes...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Ah, the "What if" game, a peculiarly English tradition. It's always foolish, for the simple reason it has no end, short of banning everything. And it's why we are so stupidly legalistic in over-enforcing all the rules. The people and officialdom of this country need to chill out, relax and...

    BBC - Blatant Bullshine Company......?

I similarly use an even wider range of news sources, but never any newspapers. To me the BBC bias is one of trying to not upset anyone, probably a foolish aim when reporting news. But I strongly disagree with any contention that they don't cover all aspects. On TV they all get some space, but...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

All true Dave, but Tony Blair was not a socialist, just a liberal alternative pretending to be something else. Now that the Labour party have lost their Scottish MPs and Wales has Plaid Cymru, the Blair tactics will no longer work since the remaining left wing vote is nothing like large enough...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

This is the sort of tolerance that I like, I hate how up-tight the English can be. After all, what harm did he do? Has the world ended? And it's not just the French who are laid back about laws, the Italians are just as sensible. There for example the compulsory crash helmet law is optional...

    Hi from Stuttgart

We've had the same, many large construction projects including rebuilding both main line and underground stations. A further complication has been the construction of a crossrail main line crossing London East to West underground. Yes, I knew it was a Daum unit. Our agents have not been not...

    Hi from Stuttgart

Hi Alex, welcome to the pedelecs forum. It's perversely a relief to know that your German train services can be as bad as ours. How is it that the Japanese are unfailingly capable of running a virtually perfect train service with all trains pulling in within seconds of the scheduled time...

But had you? I haven't seen anyone calling all Brexiters all or any of those. What I have seen is many accusing some Brexiters of falling into one or more of those categories. And they have been right, since there was abundant evidence of some of those unpleasant factions taking strong Brexit...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

It's not so much a matter of aggression, simply that by leaving we are seen as not co-operating in what the other nations see as a desirable objective. And this is on top of a 44 year history of failing to co-operate, despite the other EU countries often bending over backwards to give the UK...

    Congratulations Chris Froome

I think that because he is so obviously such a nice person, even the French have been forced to realise his true worth and respect him for it. Personal quality always wins through eventually. .

    Congratulations Chris Froome

Chris has just won the Tour de France for the third time, something that only a tiny handful of riders have achieved. At 31 years old now it will be unlikely that he could match Lance Armstrong's seven wins, but for me his three honest wins easily equal Armstrong's seven drug assisted ones...
