Overweight and looking for what to buy.

The most efficient way to lose weight is to cut some calories. Exercise is great but is a drop in the ocean compared to what you can lose by just cutting calories. If your very overweight the amount of calories you can probably burn when you exercise will be cancelled out by just one Donut...

Overweight and looking for what to buy.

A good example of how an ebike has helped me recently. A few weeks out of nowhere and first time I put my back out. I couldn't go to the gym or ride for about 3 or 4 weeks. Then I went on an all inclusive in Jamaica for 2 weeks. Back was now all sorted so I wanted to get back to doing exercise...

Overweight and looking for what to buy.

When your near 20 stone . I was 21. Chances are you are in a downward spiral of being unfit and unwell which leads to even less exercise and so on. Any positive change like cycling walking or swimming will have a massive effect. Even ebiking, as you can up the effort as and when you feel able...

    i bought a bike

Wayne regarding hills. I can only give my limited experience . If you can look up Shooters hill in south London .and if you know how to check elevation etc. I don't to be honest. But it's a big high horrible hill. At 50 and 17 stone I wouldn't even walk up it. A few months ago to test my new...

    B'TWIN ORIGINAL 700 36V ELECTRIC BIKE

Ignorance is bliss. I've had standrd bike work done by two local bike shops to my oxygen. Neither mentioned the weight. Tho I admit I had removed the battery. Not for weight but to discourage joy riding lol.

Was considering a Halfords bike and suddenly now looking at a Scott Ebike for the wife!

Something with a throttle might be nice. If the heels are hurting you can just whiz along.

Is the ebike market moving upwards?

I've been looking out for ebikes since getting one on January. I'm in Bexley south London. I've seen maybe 4 all hub drive shopper style. I guess if you hang around a mountain bike area then you will see a lot more crank drives. I'm not so sure these crank drive hAibike style bikes are such a...

Suntour sp12-Ncx question for anyone with a Carrera Croasfire e...

Well speaking for myself. I ride my ebike a lot.more than u ever did my old bike. Also a lot further and faster. It was also a lot more expensive.so 70 quid on a suntour seatpost seemed a great idea. But I wasn't going to bother on a bike that did 10 miles a year and had resale of 50 quid.

    Wisper eMTB sneak preview

My oxygen has the curved top tube. Pain in the ass for a triangle bag. Or a water bottle on the downtube.

    Wisper eMTB sneak preview

Just my two Pennorth. I'm seeing these integrated emtb that are coming though. Tubes always look strange. Maybe it's just because my eyes have got used to semi integrated. But I prefer the semi integrated. I hadn't even thought of practicalities. I won't be back in the market for years...

Green Cube Reaction Hybrid stolen in Oxford

Not long after joining here. I read about locks on here and followed some YouTube links about bike theft and suitable locks. Those cable locks shouldn't even be sold as deterrents. Some of them just pull apart . I use a big 40 quid heavy chAin. As i have to lock to trees and lamp posts...

Would I be dumb to buy an leccy bike?

I think you will love it. I'm 17 stone on an oxygen hub drive and I'm no cyclist. But I've done 20 miles poncing about here and there and never took the battery to half way. I wouldn't be surprised if you couldn't do your commute on a single charge . But you could always take the charger with...
