    Budget controller /display kit

By setting the wheel diameter via the LCD does that not give a fairly accurate speed indication?

    Budget controller /display kit

Thanks for that info. The kit included a speed sensor which isn't fitted yet; do I need the speed sensor and the PAS set-up?

    Budget controller /display kit

I managed to extricate the three male pins from the SM connector by completely destroying the plastic housing and inserted them into a new one. Still no PAS. I removed the crank and the original PAS sensor. The magnets are housed inside an aluminium cage about 2" diameter, this requires a...

    Budget controller /display kit

Thanks. Everything going together pretty well ok; I had to swap over two of the phase wires to get the motor to run. The kit includes PAS components but I want to use the existing set-up integrated into the Bafang motor casing. However, the red and blue wires going to its SM connector from the...

    Budget controller /display kit

Hi all, I've bought a replacement controller and display kit to go with a 36v battery and 250w Bafang crank drive motor. On the rear of the display is a sticker saying 24v Passed. The voltage getting to the display is 41.3v(battery fully charged); will this fry the display?

    Woosh Sirocco PAS not working

One step forward and two back. To clarify my son-in-law's bike is a Sirocco Sport CD (2013). Andy at Woosh kindly sent me a King Power J-LCD to try after confirming the one I sent him was dead. Andy is away for the weekend so I haven't been able to tell him that after switching on the display...

Hi Tazmantic, I'm trying to fix my son-in-law's Woosh Sirocco ebike as the display won't fire up; did you manage to work around your J-LCD problem earlier this year? Jim

    Woosh Sirocco PAS not working

Woosh Sirocco latest. My son-in-law commuted to work on his bike all last week but on Sunday he switched on and is just getting a blank display; is there a standard test procedure I should do to try and track down the fault? The controller is located in the base of the bottle battery holder and...

    Woosh Sirocco PAS not working

PAS update. I disconnected the PAS SM connector and cleaned the pins up a bit and hey presto it's now working as it should. I'm a bit surprised Julet connectors weren't fitted seeing how close to the road they are. I'm also pleasantly surprised how quiet the Bafang crank motor is after all...

    Woosh Sirocco PAS not working

Thanks Woosh. PAS problem. I removed the crank on the PAS side and the sensor. When I rotated the crank I could see the magnets revolving; does that mean they aren't sticking? Jim

Thanks for that. Answer 2. Is it possible to free up the magnets?

    Woosh Sirocco PAS not working

Hi All, I'm working on my son-in-law's 2013 Woosh Sirocco which hadn't been ridden for a couple of years as the battery was dead. I've fitted a new 36v 10Ah bottle battery. The bike now runs well on the throttle but the PAS isn't working. I have some questions members may be able to help with...

Raleigh Caprice (3 speed Sturmey Archer) conversion

I didn't really have to spread the forks just add a washer to give a bit of clearance. I didn't use the controller bag as I wanted to keep the step-through area clear. It's a 7amp controller and not very big so it doesn't take up much space in the pannier.

Raleigh Caprice (3 speed Sturmey Archer) conversion

Following the successful front wheel conversion of my Specialised Expedition I decided to do same to my wife's 3 speed Raleigh Caprice. She hadn't ridden it for years saying it was too heavy so it was crying out to be electrified. I chose a Yose Power 250w 36v front wheel kit which fitted very...

Bnineteeneam 48v 250w 26” front wheel conversion kit

I've had the pannier for years which has space on the inside away from the main storage section. As you say there is scope here to upgrade a number of components in the future.

Bnineteeneam 48v 250w 26” front wheel conversion kit

The conversion kit was bought on Amazon for £105 and delivered from China within the estimated delivery time by Fedex. Be aware, a month after delivery I received an invoice by post from Fedex demanding for £16.44 to cover import taxes. I wasn't expecting this bill and at first thought it was a...

Bnineteenteam 36V/48V 250W Electric Bicycle Wheel Kit

DaDa success! I pushed the motor connectors together really hard and felt a little extra engagement which did the trick. I'll do the mods suggested and try it on the road to see how the 36V battery performs; I may send it back in exchange for a 48v one. Thanks for your assistance. Jim
