    What has happened to the variety?

    I haven't seen many "ground breaking" ebike either. Apart from the BH line with e-road bikes, I haven't really been excited by anything in the market. For me, they all look more or less the same within the same price and functionality band.

    maybe on the train it's not required. But my experience in london underground is that as soon as you pass the gate you need to have it folded

    Quick release is locked by key! Same as the aluminium battery with quick release. A lot of scooter top box have this feature. I suppose it should be somewhat safe
