Do thieves really steal cheap bike?

I'd like to try and see how does it work. I've always been so restricted by the thieves. The bike only cost £150 gbp, maybe £180 shipped. So it's not too much a big hassle to loose it. The biggest benefit is that it would save a lot of space at home and sometime work office doesn't allow bikes...

Lightest one are currently the NCR18650B at 3400mAH. But they are very expensive. You can get the cheaper NCR18650A at 3100mAH (safer and cheaper), or even the NCR18650BD at 3200mAH (stronger and more expensive) Let say you get the high discharge NCR18650BD, 20 cells would give you 36V6.4AH...

    Ladies Dutch style bike.

Thanks for these dimensions. I can fill up the box with 100 18650 cells. That would give me a nice ebike with 1000wh capacity... if thieves are not interested the bike overnight ahah. I've been using parcel force few time before. They are ok. And as it's a steel bike I think it should be ok...

    Ladies Dutch style bike.

yeah the thing i like about this bike is that it look so cheap that I can probably park it outside without too much fear of it being stolen. I'd use waterproof spray all around the bike. I'd start to commute few time with the bike and leave it outside overnight outside for a month to see if...

Hey, what's the weight of the bike? And also dimension if I arrange courier to collect is it ok? And what's the range and expected speed? Is it ok for this bike to be parked outside the whole night? I suppose thieves wouldn't want to steal that?? :D I should be able to take the battery out...

Mid Drive motor noise. Differences between makes.

Apparently the BBS is using an integrated Sine wave controller. That's maybe the reason it's so much quieter!

    I'm struggling

I'd just see if I can sell the KTM e-cross P for good price. And if yes, I'd replace it with a BBS02. 25A controller.

    Getting an electric road bike

The good point of the Xionga is that I don't need to bother with the gears... And it will lift me to speed.. From 20mph it should be ok anyway. I was thinking to overvolt the controller to 48V. They surely have 60V fet inside?

    Getting an electric road bike

I want to have something like the BH neo road bike lines: Kepler did something similar with a SWX motor overvolted to 80V: http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=47139 I'd like to do the same thing. Get a super light/stiff road bike. Add a small motor. Get the motor to help a...
