As the title says, looking to replace my current rear hub motor with one that is 'legal', but has enough torque to get me up hills on my 26inch Halfords conversion. :)
I have (see pics below) a controller (17A continuos / 35A peak), and a display (KT LCD8H) with a 17.5Ah LG celled battery...
So if the cnt hadn't woke me up with a chainsaw at 8am when I had a 'few' last night and only just got to bed...I might have gone down and asked him about his cargo ebike. He woke me up again at 5pm...just about sober enough to find phone and take some pics...
I was 'interested' in 'how' he's...
Crying shame, the pink and red bikes what we dumped today...no-one else wanted them despite being easy fixers...huge pile of other bikes...wonder what today's total was (how many got binned today) x (the number of facilities in UK...).
After adding two of the cheapo torque arms on my rear hub and redoing mechs so everything fitted together better (I think local bike guy tried to kill me on at least three occasions past cpl years..), I'd gotten a little cocky and stopped checking the rear hub before each trip.
Anyway it spun...
Nuts, armageddon has hit LA, got and old pal there who's house could be on a shoogly peg if the winds continue.
All seems a bit unreal, so many big fires kicking off within hrs or each other and not an ebike in sight?
BBC 1 8pm....I so hope that this will have some sort of balance to it but Panaroma has been for many years now designed for morons to watch so I expect the level of journalism to be technically inaccurate and biased demonstrating a severe lack of understanding ot the base problems or the stats...
Fed up of bams in cars cutting me up, mainly private hire taxi w@nk3rs and it's happening now every time I'm out.
Key requirement is good price 2nd hand, won't be snorkelling with it or doing much else bar the bike but it should be able to read number plates at night, probably will mount on...
Another ebike fire story, at least the lazy journalists now identify that it's the batteries that are dangerous and dodgy chargers are most likely cause, only took them a missed opportunity of years when they could've been educating the public and blamed 'ebikes'...
Family flat wrecked by...
My rear hub is approx 24cm in diameter = 9.5 inches, can I use a 8inch gear puller (pictured) or does the inches they are quoted as mean the max diameter they open to?
Does anyone here have a gear puller that would fit that size of hub (1500W), if so what size is it?
thanks
Weather has been very good for time of year, been out on bike way more than I thought in dark, the headlight I have is rubbish and so dangerous so been looking past couple of days for a more powerful front lamp.
Mostly they seem to be LED arrays and make all sorts of claims about how bright...
Having rejigged my rear hub setup and repositioned derailleur away from dropouts the rear hub axle now fits much snugger in end of dropouts. No more trips to local bike shop guy to get him to refit it
I have been messing with putting on two torque arms (one each side) and had a few basic...
I'm not really a mechanical guy so here we go...I noticed my rear hub was starting to spin out of dropout on drive side and didn't have a spanner to tighten it back up when I was out.
This is the current setup as it came back from bike guy I just wanted to check the order of where the dropout...
My son's MTB has literally fallen to pieces so Santa is getting him a new one
We saw this instore today, actually looks quite decent, any thoughts on whether or not this is solid buy for £300...
Ha, probably not an ebike ;)
What odds would you give on a, lets say, a Telsa?
