For Sale Free to good home - Kudos Tornado electric bike. Needs battery

All worked fine before I put it away over a year ago. Battery is the original and now reads 17v so needs recelling or replacing. I see on eBay someone recells them for £220 in case thats helpful. Will come with 42v charger, key for the battery and probably a few inner tubes. I'll take the...

    Q128c freehub removal / servicing.

I had a similar issue with my q100. Kept sticking and dragging the chain every now and again. Even when not powered. Turned out to be loose/moved circlip that holds the three ratchets in place. Fixed without taking whole motor out just fully undid the opposite side and could access the...

    Brake pads

My front squeals. My back doesn't. I like it. I use it like a bell / horn. Consider leaving it alone

Looking for a quiet 63v charger - ideas?

It's an Infineon controller. The 21v charger is great. It's very small. About a quarter the size or less of the BMs aluminium charger and takes about 4 hours at work then the light goes green. It puts out 63.03v. According to my RMS DMm. Really ideal for travelling or at work. I balance at...

Looking for a quiet 63v charger - ideas?

So many options! - thanks all. Love all the input. In the end I ordered this 21v charger http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221213087522?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT and plan to parallel charge at work on my desk with a single lead. Should put in enough during the day to...

Looking for a quiet 63v charger - ideas?

LOL. dead silent isn't needed - a fan would have been ok but the one on my aluminium charger is just SO LOUD and it starts as soon as charging starts.

Looking for a quiet 63v charger - ideas?

Thanks all for the advice. Yes, original plan was bulk charge 5ah of 15S lipo. which is made up of 3 packs of 5S. I have two sets of these 5ah packs. Given difficulty getting a quiet charger at that voltage, following anotherkiwis's suggestion I started thinking about charging 5S in parallel...

Looking for a quiet 63v charger - ideas?

Thanks for the suggestion. It reminded me of this joke :-) A man out walking by the coast fell off a cliff. On the way down, after a couple of hundred feet a shrub or tree broke his fall. He managed to grab a branch, and there he was, suspended a thousand feet above a gorge, with only the...

Looking for a quiet 63v charger - ideas?

I need to charge 4ah of 15S at work and am looking for a discreet quiet charger. I bought 2 aluminium cased chargers from BMS but they have really really loud fans are pretty bulky and have Leds suitable to use as rear bike lights ;-) My previous Kudos Tornado bike came with a silent 2amp 42v...

    Rear hub motor choice

Hi - I think you may be referring to the kit I picked up from Amigafan. I came from a BPM on a ~22kg Kudos Tornado (great bike - highly recommend it) but after a few years and 4,000 miles I wanted a lighter bike discreetly powered - so pretty similar requirements. I put the kit on a Trek FX...

700c Q100-CST rear conversion with Cycle Analyst and EM3EV controller (lipo battery pack also avail)

I'm not in a rush if you would be prepared to post. (this would be a project and would need to look fro bike next) I'm afraid I don't know who would deliver the battery so would have to be without it unless anyone else knows any way to move it. I work in Stevenage in case that helped.

    Bike to work e-bike

I have a 2 year old Kudos Tornado and do a 13m trip each way charging both ends. I think its similar to the Rapide in many ways without the commuter friendly mudguards etc. Its great - particularly up the hills. I'll be looking at the Rapide next year if I can rejoin the scheme again and think...
