    Another campervan man

Another bedroom Indalo There are many campervan men (not sure if there are any women) on this forum, most appear to be attracted to the larger van. This makes sense as electric bikes (even without batteries) are heavier than non electric and will, I think, require a special rack if not...

    Disk O' Tech

hydraulic front brakes Hi My eZee Forza has front hydrualic brakes and a rear cable disc brake. The important factors here are weight and speed. I am heavy, and ebikes tend to be heavier than non ebikes, and they go faster. In my opinion my front brake is the better of the two, mainly...

    Another campervan man

Motorhome Tinker and Claretcass Mine is under 3 ton and 5.4m long so quite small but has a towbar. I have two eZees so we hope to learn about motorhome life and use the bikes as well. Tiberius has a large motorhome and uses it a lot. Conal

    Another campervan man

Just made a 800+ miles round trip to enjoy the scenery in Scotland and to visit East Neuk Campervans in Anstruther, Fife (just north of Edinburgh). I have always been interested in the link between e-bike owners and campervans as many members of the forum seem to enjoy both. The van comes with...

    Have YOU ever

Already wearing one Fallen off - many times - mainly wet leaves in icy conditions but once due to head butting a large cut-back branch in what I thought was light foliage. I was wearing a helmet so no damage. Not a great believer in helmets but always wear one now as I travel close to trees...

    My bike

Gaynor has her bike back! Gaynor picked up her bike on Monday evening. I picked it up from OnBike on Saturday. (An aside - they have a great looking Wisper folder - white and not unlike a Brompton) I cycled to Charing Cross on the bike - from North East London down to Embankment and along...

    Please release me

Is it the battery? One battery I bought was slightly swollen and always stuck as I slid it down onto the base plate. I only realised it was swollen when I picked it up one time and the sides moved in my hand. One email to Ching sorted it out, Have you checked that the plastic outer casing is...

    My bike

Repairs Gaynor Flecc has indicated what needs to be looked at, and what the possible faults are. Phil and Andrew at OnBike have lots of experience and Flecc's advice will help. The bike will be at OnBike tomorrow afternoon (Friday) and they will try to repair it whilst I wait, so it...

Battery not included Gaynor You don't need to take the battery with you. OnBike have spare ones to test the bike, but they or anyone else would need the key. Conal

Front suspension: a 'must' or a luxury?

Deteriorating road surfacs this winter My bike has front suspension and I am very pleased it does. The harsh winter has caused roads to deteriorate and the patches have not helped cyclists. We are supposed to travel at the edge of the road and this area has not received the same attention as...

    Scooter V electric bike

Epping Forest Dilus I agree re: the wildlife. Today I rode back from work at 8pm through Epping Forest and and baby rabbits (kits, kittens, kindles?) were everywhere. Eight miles through "town" and eight 1/2 miles through the forest. The last half of the journey is the best and the car...

Kalkhoff Pro Connect S For Sale

Magura hydraulic brakes Great brakes! My bike came with these on the front and after two 1/2 years of use my LBS has just replaced the brake blocks.

    Prices all very similar?

Wisper Market Possible because the product is very good with high quality aftercare resulting in a great reputation at a cost to profit margins. I also think the products are not available in the quantities that would attract the type of selling strategies you describe. David at Wisper...

    Scooter V electric bike

Bus lanes are a winner Psycosis I agree that bus lanes are very helpful to cyclists. The scooter rider I kept pace with was alternately driving along the lane marking and on the (quieter) wrong side of the road. I have heard somewhere that moterbike and scooters are going to be allowed...

    Scooter V electric bike

Today I was overtaken by a scooter near the beginning of my journey and stayed with it for six miles though town traffic. I have often made a note of a car or lorry whilst cycling and wondered if, 15 miles later, I would beat it into, or out of, London. Trouble is, I always get involved with the...

    Broken battery

different broken battery could help I have an old battery with its only fault being the external fuse holder broken. Flecc, could I open it and take this part out to post?

LBS repair led to problems, but not their fault

I recently took my bike into my LBS for new crank bearings. They were a little cautious at first but thanks to a quick call to Andrew at OnBike I could reassure them that a standard replacement would be OK. £70 paid for this, new magura pads and a new rear disc brake cable. I did not take my...

i'm seeing loads of electric bikes now!

None between Harlow and Hackney I have not seen any on my 33 mile round trip - Epping Forest is the ideal place for ebikes with its sweeping hills - 25 mph down hill, 19 mph on the flat and up the mild inclines (12mph if they are steep!) Lots of Lycra's though!
