    replacement for ku123 controller

I am looking to replace a ku123 controller for a Bafang BPM 36V500W motor. It would seem to make sense to use a sine wave controller. I would be grateful for advice about which contoller.

    bafang crank drive kits

Can anyone offer advice on the bafang crank drive kits? Are there a range of chain ring sizes available? Is it possible to have 2 chain rings and a front changer? Does the crank kit have a speed restriction and is this configurable? Does the motor bottom out over speed bumps or uneven terrain...

thumb throttle only working to ~50%

My thumb throttle has developed a fault and is no longer giving full power - I checked with a twist grip and the system is ok otherwise. Does anyone have a spare 36v thumb throttle so that I don't have to wait an age to order one from china?

    KU123 controller wanted

Hi, My converted bike seems to have stopped responding to the throttle and my suspicion is that the controller has junked itsef again. Has anyone out there got a KU123 controller suitable for a bafang 500w bldc motor. If so please let me know details. Other than that I suppose I'd better...

    Li battery cutting out

The new controller works fine and the bike easily does a hilly 12 mile trip. I am not sure what the cause of either the cutting out or the sudden failure of the controller and these two may or may not be related. In any case, it would be useful to get the failure codes for the controller. i.e...

    Li battery cutting out

The voltage at ZX is 3.87. I think I'd like to take your controller - I'll message you my contact details.

    Li battery cutting out

I did test without brake wire connected. I dont use PAS anyhow. I am open to fixing the controller, but am a little frustrated as the bike is very heavy to peddle up and down these hills without a motor. There is 40v on the thin red wire. The red wire that goes to a terminal labelled 5v has...

    Li battery cutting out

I had a look at the controller - there isn't very much clearance between the rail in the casing and the blob of solder on the underside of the circuit board. It is possible that a connection was made between the casing and the blob. In any event, I cannot get the controller to energise the motor...

    Li battery cutting out

The pads were joined from the back with a blob of solder. All i did was replace to remove this solder, and replace it with a small piece of wire which extended from one pad to the other. The copper wire helps to retain the solder. This was all quite neat and I would not expect that this caused...

    Li battery cutting out

OK, ZX pads were already connected with a blob of solder. I replaced this with a tiny piece of wire and resoldered. Then I rode with a charged battery for about 2 miles. The battery completely cut out going up a steep hill and never cut back in. Before it would cut out and cut back in a few...

    Li battery cutting out

Please check the link again: Photo and image hosting, free photo galleries, photo editing I've uploaded higher resolution photos - not sure if I can even read the numbers from the circuit board!

    Li battery cutting out

Sorry, that doesn't seem very clear in those posts. There are a number of images of the outside and guts of the controller in photobucket. Follow the link below: Photo and image hosting, free photo galleries, photo editing

    Li battery cutting out

I live in cornwall and it's very hilly. I have a 6 mile journey to work and I used to be able to make 4 journeys (24 miles) but the battery tailed off on the last journey. The battery doesn't even last one journey now before the cutting out happens.

    Li battery cutting out

Wow, that's fantastically helpful. I'll check the controller out - not that I am clear what I am looking for. I'll endeavour to photograph it. Please could you clarify, when the controller sees the voltage drop below a set level it will cut out aswell. This means that there are 2 low voltage...

    Li battery cutting out

This sounds interesting - I was never aware that the same controller could be used for both 36v and 48v. As far as I can determine there is no connection for this - I have checked through all the connections over and over and all seem to be in order. I wonder if the issue may well be a faulty...

    Li battery cutting out

The battery was charged to 43.4v, then the bike was ridden for about 6 miles. The LEDs stay on green for most of the time, the green dropping off slight on steep hills. Bike works fine for the first few miles, then the battery begins to cut out on steep hills - fine on the flat and slight...

    Li battery cutting out

I did unwrap the battery to check the cells. The BMS has a couple of connectors with wires from each cell - easy to check the cell voltages - they were all identical, both when fully charged and when the battery had been used and was cutting out on hills. The voltage on the charger connector is...
