We have started testing our new Kudos Performance Range and our Czech partner has finished testing their new crank drive bike. All is looking good so far,the performance range will be priced between £795.00 to £1295 and the new crank drive about £1395. All of these bikes are produced by one of the largest e-bike manufacturers in the world and are designed in style and specification to compete with the high end German product.
The Chinese with a lot of input from the Czechs and Kudos are starting to move away from traditional Dutch style bikes into more exciting product, without an onerous price penalty.
By mid October I will be in a position to release full specification, photos and accurate price points, all bikes will weigh less than 19 KGs and be available through the Kudos dealer network.
I know Kudos is not the only company to be working on similar product for 2013,there will be a lot of choice from my competitors.
If planning to buy a new bike,if a sports style bike with electricity is your style, then waiting a couple of months would be prudent. These new bikes will be similar to the sports bike plus DIY kit style, which has previously only been possible by DIY conversion.

I meant to add to my previous posting that Eddie might like them. The performance bikes will have 'water bottle style' centre frame mounted Samsung celled batteries,10.4 ah. The crank drive has an ultra thin battery styled into the rear rack,14ah.
Prices of replacement batteries will still be less than £250.00
The big batteries that Eddie is referring to are LifePo4 type which will be retained on the classic and traditional Kudos ranges,it's really 'horses for courses'- a performance bike needs to be as light as possible, a classic bike swaps lightweight and style for longer battery life.

Sounds great, can't wait! Do try to keep the price of that crank drive down, please. It's already gone up £100 and is getting close to Ave prices.
