I suppose technically that is a splinter... but my brain struggles to accept it, as my idea of a splinter is a small, no, tiny spike of wood (or metal etc) that wouldn't be doing that...

Read that storey in the metro this morning. As he got back up and carried on. What a hero. Think i would have just given up to go find and equally large pair of tweezers.

Saw the replay on TV over the weekend, quite a pile up. Apparently they left the 'splinter' in his leg overnight while they worked out how to remove it!

I think it looks great they should of cut off his leg and mounted in a display case he can display it on his wall
