I am taking my Cytronex Claud Butler Urban Metro 500 to Brittany in July following a route described in Cycling France – lonely planet.

It involves taking the Portsmouth to St-Malo overnight ferry then travelling through Dinard, Dinan, Treverion, Tinteniac, Combourg (overnight stop), Beauvoir (overnight stop) near Mont St-Michel, St-Malo (overnight stop) and then ferry back to Portsmouth.

It follows canal routes, country lanes, coastal routes and is about 185 Km in total (about 50 miles a day)

Appreciate any advice on:

•Where I could park the car cheaply in Portsmouth and then cycle to the ferry port
•Bike friendly B&B`s or hotels at reasonable prices in those Brittany towns
•Does a standard euro 2-pin adaptor work with the cytronex battery charger?
•Sensible extra gear to take – what things are likely to go wrong!?
•Decent restaurant and café`s on route
•Has anyone attempted electric biking in Brittany and what things should I be aware of?

I should be cycling with my e-Brompton around the same area sometime in August. I've cycled there before, but it'll be the first time with electrical assistance. I can't wait ! (there are some killer hills near the coast) :)
