Hi All

Had a little accident on my Kalkhoff Endeavour Impulse S10 and i have snapped the RHS/front brake lever only ,the remaining unit on the bar still works fine if i push the 'plunger' in which is operated by brake lever arm as in pic,the small ball ended silver bit, no oil has escaped at all.........Can i just fit a new lever arm ?

I also require a new hanger, anybody know what type it is ? The derailleur seems ok and is XT.

Cheers guys

Hi bilabonic

Exactly the same thing happened to me at the end of February, and it took me until May to sort it out, as none of the British suppliers seem interested
in selling anything other than the whole front brake unit. I eventually found
one at Bike24 GmbH, a German website. Magura do a huge range of
lever blades, the one you need is an MT5 4-finger Ball end 2015 model.
It's a simple push fitting but the positioning of the internal return spring
is critical.
It's not showing on the site now but if you email them I'm sure they'll help you out, their English is excellent. Can't help with the hanger I'm afraid, I
have an S11, but any bike shop using Shimano gearing should be able to fit one.

Cheers,

I have just found this video -

Plus i have removed both caps (with no damage) and used opposite end to push the central pin out with ease......the white plastic part/spring are still attached to to the part on the bike.

I'll check that site now.

Cheers

Sorry, didn't realise they were MT4s , that video is from 2011 so may not apply to your levers. I made the mistake of ordering that special tool shown on the video and found I didn't need it so if you do I'll be happy to let you
have it. Magura's range is constantly updated and their customer service is non-existent, I'd send them the photo of your lever to make sure you get the right one!

It's a mine field !!!!!
Thanks for the offer of tool but i have removed the pin easily and i have emailed a pic to the site linked above, i have also put a post on the Magura forum...

The video applies directly to my levers as far as i can see.........

Just need to find the correct lever blade

Cheers

The front view of my lever blade is justhad one hole allowing access to the 'adjuster' that presses the plunger on bike, every one i view has 2 holes/different !!!!!!

I think this is what i am looking for,i did mail the company but stated i wanted a 'MT5 4-finger Ball end 2015 model' from the reply off the first response, mine are MT4.
But if you look at description it states MT5, MT4, MT2*

It physically looks different and shows no ball end and is 2 fingers, but states in decription it has ball end and 4 fingers.

I have informed them of this and sent pics
