Powerpedals have some amazing deals on at the moment I see.
I have just actually had a 2 day trial of the Tonaro Princess and was very impressed........even more so now its at an amazing £599 !!
First impressions were that its well built, nicely finished, very strong and inspires confidence in riding it, especially for anyone new to electric bikes, I felt like I could take it anywhere.
But in fact I took it on the Tarka Trail, a favourite trail of mine.
The first day I did Torrington to Meeth and back, around 18 miles.
However I got so carried away with the novelty of having a strong powerful throttle that I probably used it for 70% of the time, grinning widely......which actually turned to grimacing ( serves me right )
when I ran out of power 1 mile from home......of course, sods law, it was one of the few uphill stretches......needless to say I was rather exhausted by the time I got back to the m/home.
Not to be beaten I was off the next day using my power as I normally do....eco mode, and did a round trip of 36 miles and returned to the van with 2 lights remaining on the battery.....so well pleased with that range.
All in all I really enjoyed riding it, apart from the usual gripes about seat comfort, although it is better there than many.......and it WAS quite a long ride
Full spec is on their website, but I would definately recommend anyone to try it.....its a really good bike and at that price is a real bargain.
For me, with my bike rack on my van being fitted too high, it was just that bit too heavy for me to lift up on my own, but no problems if there are two of you, and indeed the weight (25kilos) would not be a problem for most people and its a lot lighter than many bikes in the same category.
Very impressed with Powerpedals as a company and Phil is a very genuine person so if you possibly can get over there you can try the range for yourself.....
Also, if you havent yet been on the Tarka trail I can definately recommend it, especially the stretch from Torrington north to Barnstaple which follows the estuary and is absolutely beautiful and lots of stop off points for coffee, food etc etc.
