Hi all. I posted about the fuse yesterday and now another problem has emerged?? when I go to work all is fine but going home when I start to pedel the motor starts then stops almost instantly and keeps this up and the only way around it is to put it on the throttle and gently turn the throttle it does the same as before but after a while it cathes and I can flick the switch to the throttle off and peddle as normal untill I stop again and away it goes again?? and I can't get any help because of the festive period ????? I've had to work as usual. Regards Steve

Three possibilities that I can think of if I understand the problem correctly.
1. The magnet disk is too far from the sensor (assuming you have one). Have a look behind the chain-wheel or at the bottom bracket behind the other pedal. You should see the disc and sensor. If there's a gap of more than 1mm, slide the disc accross closer to the sensor.
2 The connector is not making a good connection. You have to take the side-panel off the boxed in bit behind the bottom bracket to get at the controller and its connectors.
3 Damaged wire from the pedal sensor. Follow the wire from the sensor all the way into the controller to check it. make sure that its not broken inside the insulation, which can cause an intermittent contact.
Let us know what you find.

Hopefully fixed

Hi.I looked at all of the things everyone said to check and was also in contact with Martin from Freego (and very helpfull he was) the first thing I did was move the magnets closer to the sensor which seemed ok but I moved it back a little as the bike shot off when I put my foot on the pedal which now seems ok and I also took the cover panel off for the regulator near the bottom bracket and found it was full of sand and mud which I cleaned out and sealed the holes with silicon (which Martin from Freego said they were aware of and are now doing it to all new bikes "do it to yours?") The problem with it keep blowing fuses seems to have gone away after I put a 25amp fuse in as 15amp kept blowing (Freego suggest 30amp) and the handle bars are now great after I found the bolt to tighten it ???? Duh!!antway all seems fine now as I'm back to work tomorrow so will put the miles on for for days??. Regards Steve. :p
