Bargain ?

Has anyone heard of or dealt with this lot? All their batteries seem like a good price.

Presumably import duty to pay on top - about 20% - anyone actually had to pay this on good purchased abroad ?

1C rated discharge, its cheap for a reason. Import duty is a lottery, I've been hit too many times recently so have become ultra careful of what I buy on-line...

But does 1C matter? If you got the 20Ah battery (very heavy I know but...) you get 20 amp continuous dischage and 40A max discharge. As my controller is rated at 23A surely the battery is sufficient, is it not ? (Or possibly a 15 ah giving 15 amp cont. and 30A peak - enough ?)

It all depends on your own planned usage, I don't think anyone can tell you.

The only thing I can say is the similarly looking 20Ah duct tape battery I bought was only 12Ah. The supplier name is different but that doesn't necessarily mean it comes from a different source- my battery was sold by 3 differently named ebay sellers at the time I got it. Check out amberwolfs threads about repairing several of these duct tape packs on endless-sphere. Bad battery connections (and they have hundreds of them) aren't uncommon.

Personally I would never buy another of them.
