Battery charging time?

What do other forum members think about the differing theories regarding the best way of charging Lithium batteries?
Some bike makes say a slow charger protects battery life and others provide fast chargers.
Is it always better to use a slow charger but a fast charger is just more convenient.
Come on express your views, any experts give us your wisdom.

From what I have seen and read most decent Lithium batteries use a battery management system and a smart charger which should be able to look after the battery what ever its state.

Slow charge is always better for the battery. Fast charge is better for the rider.
