Does anyone know where I can buy something like this but for a 20" wheel bike? They all seem to be for 26" -28" bikes.
I would prefer it with the battery.
I can find normal rear racks for 20" bikes, but none for carrying batteries.
I certainly don't want to buy one of this style battery and then just gaffa tape it in place on a normal rack.
Battery+Gaffa Tape+Police never ends well.

If you look at how the battery slides in to the one you've shown, you can see that the battery holding plate is independent from the rack. It's just screwed to it. That's also true of other batteries and their holders. In that case you can fix the battery mechanism to any normal rack, which is a lot neater, but it doesn't give you the aditional rack over it to fit paniers or whatever you might want to put on a rack.

Here's one I fitted to a standard raleigh 20 rack:

This is a more modern one, which you can see simply screws to what's below it. You normally have to use a couple of steel strips across the way to act as clamps. It's very simple to do, just drill a few holes for the screws.

Interesting, I will have more questions about this soon.

I doubted pannier bags would fit over my downtube style battery mounted horizontally on the single decker rear rack of my 20" folding bike, therefore didn't want to spend much - these cheapos do, but only just. They've held up well, despite rather a lot of use. Not at all waterproof without a decent cover, so I bought a large hi-viz orange one which fits over both sides. Black bikes and black accessories are idiotic.

I've got something similar that was supplied for a 20" Ecosmo electric tandem.

(We bought the tandem 2nd hand. When it was new there was some minor damage to the rack; the original buyer brought this up with them and they sent another one. He never bothered to fit the other one and passed it on to me. I never bothered to fit it either.

Photo of old one on the bike and carefully wrapped new one I don't want to unwrap.

How about a couple of 3 inch long flat bars connected at the pivot point to drop the height. I haven't thought the consequences of this through properly. The idea just popped into my head.

I did that with my first two 20" folder conversions, I didn't drop the height much, Later, I installed a box for the controller and a fender under the rack. Home made torque plate for motor on the bottom picture.
