I have a relatively light (22kg) hybrid conversion with the Tongxin motor (throttle only). I have just bought my wife a Wisper 706 Alpino which I have riden for about 20 miles as a test. It feels so much heavier and noisier than mine and this confirms my preference for a good light road bike with the lightest possible conversion. This has made me look once again at the Cytronix bikes. Their weakness for me is the 4Ah battery which is not quite sufficient range for my soon to be 28 mile (each way) commute.
Does anyone know how easy it would be to adapt the 'frog style' batteries that I have (I have two 6.5Ah Li-on batteries) for use on a Cytronix bike. Could an adaptor be made up or would the cells have to be removed and repackaged in a bottle style container? How easy would either of these be for any of you techies?
