Before I order a kit from GNG: a little help, if possible, please...

I'm about to order a 250w mid-drive kit, but I can't see where to specify that I want a 36v one, as they say they will send a 24v kit by default, if I don't specify otherwise.
I'm sure it's me being thick, but.......

The new 250w kit looks to have a cartridge bb, which is an improvement, as well as mounting plates that fix either side of the bb, rather than just one side; so a worthwhile upgrade, hopefully.

Maybe it works with both, but you'd best ask them about it, or usethe special instructions box to tell them that you want 36v.or, better still, order the 350w kit, which is only a few grammes heavier and will have a much easire time and climb better than the 250w one.

On the old style 250w brushed, there is an option to choose between 24/36v when you scroll to the bottom of the page.

You are correct that you can't do this when ordering the new style, and they confirm this in the blurb:

'' Suitable for all type of bike(mountain bike /road bike/normal bike...)

Suitable for : 12-26 " bike

24V/36V 250W(same price)

(Please state the specification when you buy it, or we will send you 24V250W) ''

Best bet is to send an e-mail when ordering, stating you want 36v, and ask for a confirmation, otherwise you may end up with the 24v controller.

On looking through the very sparse forum posts on the GNG site, it seems only the brushless kits accept PAS.

As I'm one of the minority that prefers PAS to throttle, but like to have both available, I'm going to hang on & see if they offer a brushless version of either the 250w or 350w kits.

Their range seems to be evolving fairly rapidly, so maybe I won't have to wait too long: Hopefully, new kits will include the double-sided mounting bracket & cartridge BB, as in the new (brushed) 250w.

If you get a Speedict, it has connectors for both PAS and throttle inputs, which it converts to a single throttle signal, so that you can have PAS with any controller. A new software version is about to be released, which, hopefully, will have continuously variable PAS via a potentiometer.
