The Bionx people have updated their web site. For a long time they did not have their latest products on the web site and I depended on getting information from the web sites of their retail dealers. I signed up to receive email from them. I think this is a good thing.
This year Bionx changed the communications protocol used to communicate between the three major components (battery box, console, and motor) from I2C to CAN. With this protocol change and some improvements to controller software, people claim that the new system is smoother with less cogging felt during regenerative braking.
As a Bionx owner, I'm happy to see the company improving their communications.
