Searched the forum for similar but no joy.... I bought a BMS 10a 36v li-ion kit in November and used it for about 10 full power cycles... I've gone to get it out and battery is flat... It has been kept in the hall so its about 10.c min most of the time... When connected to the charger, both green and red lights are on as if it is fully charged. The fan spins for a split second then cuts out. I have left it connected to power over night with no change. Before I rip open the battery casing to check each cell, is there anything I can do to kick start it charging?

Anyone have an idea? (battery fuse is fine too)

Many thanks, Neil

Sounds like a wire off somewhere. Check the individual cell voltages and that should give you a clue to what's going on. Is your's a 2 amp charger or a 5amp one? Before opening it up, you should check the batty voltage at it's terminals.

exactly, check the total voltage first at the battery terminals, if it's below approx 28.5V then it's very likely the charger won't start as it's not recognizing the battery as a battery. This could be also loose wire or blown charging fuse.

all the best
