You know...I like this. How good is it though, is it easy to install. Thumb throttle looks a bit flimsy. Basically how good a kit are they..... has anyone got one?

fitted to a decent lightweight used bike could be a real good, relatively cheap introduction to e bikeing, as long as its reliable that is!:p

As far as I can see, this kit comes directly from 8Fun (Bafang), who is one of the largest suppliers or electric bike motors, so should be pretty well sorted, but I have no personal experience other than with their motors, of which I have four and they've all been brilliant.

Yes I must say it looks promising:)

EDIT:

I think only available for 26 inch wheels, not 700cc

Is this not a rebranded sunlova? The business seller contact information at the bottom of the page is the same address as sunlova.

sunlova are a supplier from bafang the manufacture in china.

Quite a few companies here on pedelec's use their motors.

They seem to be reliable enough at their rated power etc. The only time people have had issue's is when they've tried to squeeze 3 to 4 times the rated power and even then its just stripped the gears. Which i believe reading on forums that most of this is now resolved.

They do a 700c kit but not with the bottle battery. I am sure they could do a kit with both if you asked. Must admit it does look good if it is genuinely 9Ah and with panasonic cells.

I emailed them and they responded immediately and said they will swap a kit around and you can have 700cc with bottle battery..... Have seen a specalised Vita ( just over 10kg) ladies bike for around £200 so this would do my wife and i wouild use it shopping etc..... when I do not want to risk leaving my expensive Wisper somewhere ...

From my own experience and other's reports on the forum, Sunlova have always been good on support. There were some problems with their products, however: The old optical pedal sensor was difficult to fit, and the old rack-mounted battery switch wiring was a bit suspect. It looks like the Sunlova guys have signed up to be the UK agents for 8Fun (Bafang) operating from the same premises, So now they have good products at very reasonable prices with good support. Should be a winning formula - only time will tell.
