You are being lied to

So why the lies?
... Boris Johnson ...
Thanks for doing the research on those videos flecc. Once you start looking into these things, the more you discover and the deeper the rabbit holes go!

I would point out though that its not just Boris. Its not just the BBC. Its most mainstream media sources and this kind if stuff is going on across multiple governments across the world.

I asked a question to Oyster a few days ago about Hydroxychloroquine and the 'trials' that found it was apparently ineffective.
Well I've been doing some digging of my own on that one. Dear god. I'd heard some talk that the trials were suspect, but the reality appears far, far worse.
It appears as if they could have been designed to fail and people were killed unnecessarily in the process.
I might post some stats later if I get the chance.

Nothing like diverting attention:

Navy to dismantle sunken warship on Thames holding unstable explosives
MoD reportedly warns of ‘mass damage and potential loss of life’ if ordnance on SS Richard Montgomery triggered

Take Apart Better?

And, if it does blow, Better Build Back.

I'm glad I'm far away enough not to have any personal concern. But it could be quite a spectacle if they get it wrong.

Does anyone know if Johnson has any "plans" to build a Sheerness to Southend bridge?

PS: I love the way the report says that it had a "cargo of undetonated explosives" - can you imagine any reason to ship detonated explosives?

I hope this Royal Navy do a better job than the RAF and the Fleet Air Arm did in trying to destroy the Torrey Canyon by bombing it.

Did any of the bombs they dropped hit it, I was very young at the time but from memory I don't think they did but I could be wrong.

The RAF tried first but kept missing!

The Fleet Air Arm took over flying Buccaneers and they had more luck, but the whole idea of trying to set alight the oil content of a sunken ship was daft from the outset.

All it did was release the oil to pollute the west country beaches.

Sajid Javid speaks against Drakeford - but it is England that has run out of lateral flow tests and is borrowing from Wales:

The number of people with Covid in hospitals in Wales has increased to 446 - 49% higher than last week, the Welsh government has said.

It has also announced that from Friday, people who have tested positive for Covid will have to isolate for seven rather than 10 days to help get people in critical jobs back to work.

In a written statement, the first minister, Mark Drakeford, said the public health situation in Wales had deteriorated with the seven-day case rate at more than 1,000 cases per 100,000 people across Wales. Cases are highest among 20- to 39-year-olds.

The first minister said hospitalisations remained lower than in previous waves, but these too are starting to increase. However, Wales is not seeing a rise in the number of patients with Covid-19 needing critical care.

Drakeford said Wales had a “significant stock of lateral flow tests, sufficient to meet our needs over the weeks ahead” and was loaning millions of tests to England.

Adding:

The Welsh government has come to the aid of Westminster by lending England 4m lateral flow tests, as ministers scramble to secure supplies from around the world.

There has been a surge in demand for Covid tests as people try to comply with advice to limit the spread of the Omicron variant by ensuring they do not have the virus before socialising.

But by 9am on Thursday, home delivery slots for lateral flow tests were unavailable on the gov.uk website. Pharmacies have also complained about patchy supplies of lateral flow kits.

The Welsh government has agreed to loan four million more tests to the NHS in England, bringing the total the country has given England to a total of 10 million.

I couldn't help but laugh when I saw this. It's below the whole UK figure and far below many of London's boroughs.

Lambeth peaked at over 4300 per 100,000 a couple of days back, but that reduced to 3200 the following day and is today at 2486. They have no hospitalisation problem and their death rate of 0.9 is identical to the whole UK figure.

So at 1000 per 100k I doubt Wales has much to worry about.

One of the problems we have had throughout is extreme variation - from almost nothing in Ceredigion to high by almost any standards in Newport, Swansea. Llanelli, etc.

Yes, distances.

Our London proximities mean more consistency. My little enclave within Croydon Borough has 37% higher vaccination rates than Lambeth next door, but today's infection rate is almost identical and hospitalisation rate the same, so no benefit from far more jabs.

Author says it odd South Africa's experience ignored. Perhaps.

Case fatality rate down from 0.053% to 0.036 %...
And infection overwhelms our NHS or causes lockdown?
Other side to this is, if that's case our country hardly has an NHS service fit for purpose.
Look at that case fatality rate again. 0.036%.
Is that wrong?
A disease that kills 36 per 100,000 infected has ICUs bursting and country talking about locking down.???
Less than 4 deaths per 10,000 infected.???
Think we, ve lost our sense of perspective.

The latest vid from John Campbell (only 14 min long) shows latest research (not yet peer reviewed) from SA that shows that both vaccines and prior infection provide good T and B cell protection from the Omicron variant.
Omicron science, good news - YouTube

I think if our powers that be had been watching his videos for say the last month or so we would not be in the big panic we appear to be in now. All the evidence coming out of SA for weeks has shown that Omicron is nothing like as bad as previous versions of the virus to people who had either been vaccinated or had previous infection.

Lack of trust might now be the top issue.

Followed by the impact of the (potentially) huge numbers affected all at the same time.

Well, it would appear to be the case that “deeply unsatisfactory behaviour“ is the satisfactory standard to be the UK’s Prime Minister. The bar is set at “deeply unsatisfactory“. If you can attain that level of conduct, you're in with a shout. o_O

If UK is in a worse position than SA to face Omicron there is something seriously wrong.
Between poverty, HIV, cramped living, fewer medical facilities, vaccines, and the argument as a race it seems Europeans are better able to deal with Covid I don't understand why we all bought the notion SA is less likely to suffer.
As some have said all along its politically advantageous to over play the severity of Omicron and under play our capability (we already had) to deal with it.
Boris has been setting himself up as our saviour with his Booster campaign.
End of January we will know if his strategy was flawed or not.

Hospital Omicron admissions are rising fast but average stay may be much shorter, we won't know if it will peak soon for at least another week.
As for comparison with SA, the big unknown is how effective broad spectrum natural immunity is compared to mRNA vaccines. It could well be that those who made loads out of vaccines knew that their vaccines are no match.
