net zero is bs not 1 war has been stopped because it will be bad for the planet the eu wants a 20 year war with Russia but no nukes as the eu isn't got enough.
Did you look at how different technologies would cost producing the same amount of electricity after 25 years? I posted the information in this post.
Take the Rolls Royce's SMR 470MW for example.

MetricValue
Design life60 years
Total lifetime cost£4.5–£5.6 billion
Electricity produced~222 TWh
Cost per MWh (LCOE)£20–60/MWh (depending on scale)

The lifetime cost comprises build (2.2 billion), fuel and maintenance (600 million) and decommissioning (1 billion).
During that time, electricity would cost £20-£60 per MWH.
Gas fired power stations will cost 3-4 times that plus CO2.

Net zero makes economic sense.

Trouble is that Starmer has no political nous.

He walked into a self created trap with the simple truth of now allowing EU fishermen into UK waters, only balanced by a complex-to-explain gain in our fish sales into the EU.

Our voters don't understand complex, they only see the obvious, even when it's untrue, such as, "He's taking us back into the EU".

I think he's about to make the same mistake over the Winter Fuel Allowance. Removing it completely was a terrible political mistake, never to be forgiven. Fully restoring it is the only way to undo that and minimise the harm done.

But he's only speaking of extending it to more pensioners. If that will be in any way less than full restoration to all pensioners, it will multiply the original mistake and he'll be taunted by it throughout any future General Election.
.
So EU dont have any factory mega trawlers that will quickly hoover up everything in brit waters (as in irish waters) until the quota? (is there a limit?), sell the fish to highest bidder, and only then go back to their own?

Brit trawlers can then pick up the scraps and.. oh no they can't, 2 boats already seized! How did that happen?

Here's the Turkish take on it, for a different perspective.
"Brit boats banned from French ports
Intensified border inspections
More expensive leccy for the channel islands"..
Tut, tut, doesn't sound very chummy, ya think?

(What is the AUS-UK deal & what's it got to do with FR?)

like i said its that important not one war has been stopped because of net zero it does not matter how we make our electric as will be taxed the most of most of the world.

net zero carbon means no plant life or human beings as we are made from carbon.

and it does not matter how you make the electric nothing lasts forever and will have to be replaced and we make none of it.

quantum computers will be here buy 2029 and everything to date that has been encrypted can be broken in seconds and where all this power coming from.

free energy devices are banned.

anti gravity devices are banned.

cure for cancer is banned.

because the only thing that matters is power control and firepower none of them give a crap about net zero bar taxing the crap out of it like everything else for back hand deals and a jobs on the board.

and like i keep telling you income tax pays for the uk electric and a company on telegram will replace ur smart meter with one you pay for 3/500 quid. and no bills worst they can do is fit another meter then just pay to rip it out again as still be cheaper than paying there bills.

and if ur disabled or someone in the house is and on a priority list they cant even fit a pre pay meter and i have proven to you i had a 16k edf bill and wiped it all away as statute barred.

or is that what the standing charge is for pmsl, still dont get the game do you lol

Why address this question to me?

My post was solely about Starmer's political failings, not expressing any opinion on the fishing issues Starmer raised.

Those are another subject.

As ever, you see problems where none exist.

Rolls Royce should be fine with the steam turbine part, but have they ever built anything newkleer before?
Has Deutschland turned on any of the umpteen mothballed reactors it already has? Über leccy..
Why not, are they unsafe? Are they now faulty? Surely not with all that wonderful Deutsch tech & quality, mm.
Co2 is the gas of life, bring it on.
Net Zero = Zero Sense!

How much does a Willow chip cost?

This means Willow's speculative hourly cost is: ~9.22 × 10²¹ times global GDP. Crazy. So, there you have it: Google's Willow chip could hypothetically cost $1.1 × 10³⁶ per hour—roughly 9.22 sextillion times global GDP.

ok i want 2 where do i get the power from , can someone plug a cable in the the sun for me ?

Germany mothballed nuclear because of fukushima (a cost benefit calculation that as with gas makes renewables a cheaper, better long term investment)
shareholders of energy companies are not ideological or sentimental

I am glad that you engage in factual debate instead of just posting anti net zero videos.
Rolls Royce have partnered with Westinghouse, Siemens and Cavendish Nuclear for the design of their SMR.
Their SMR design has advanced to the second stage of the UK's Generic Design Assessment (GDA), the only SMR to reach this stage so far. If it gets the go ahead, it will take about 1 to 2 years to complete.
Germany Merz is keen on SMRs but their consensus is to focus on wind and solar for the time being. I wouldn't be surprised if we go ahead with Rolls Royce's SMR, many other EU countries would also adopt it.

there are no net zero energy devices on the planet that we are allowed to know of and nothing lasts forever so it is all renewable.

yet we cant even remake the pyramids and a massive asteroid killed all the dinosaurs yet we still live and it all began from a big bang from what, and did it come with a egg :D

You are right, we can't cure the flu but the jab gives us a chance for a mock fight with the likely versions of the flu in the coming 6 months so we won't die from it or them.
