Brighton to London Future Challenge - Sat 6 Nov. Vehicles start at 08:30
Brighton to London Future Car Challenge 2010
Electric, Hybrid, ICE - Cars, Light Commercial and Motorcycles.
Entry fee for vehicles is £500+VAT upwards so it doesn't make a lot of sense for individuals. However, it might be a fun event to participate in as a spectator. The requirement is ~57 miles at an average of 16 to 20mph with all seats filled. This is quite a challenge for a pedelec (not to mention probably illegal) but is just about achievable with big or extra batteries. There really should be a few electric velomobiles and such like out there. Cedric Lynch is entered in his Lynchmobile. The prizes are for least energy and energy cost used.
