While looking for a rear wheel with motor, I keep seeing motors on their own, which need to be built into a wheel. Can anyone tell me what's involved in this, how much and do most bike shops do this service?
Some bike shops do it. Some charge a lot for it.By the time you've paid £30 to £40 for the spokes, £20 to £40 for the rim, and £30 to £100 for building, added to £100 to £200 for the motor, it makes an expensive project. It's much cheaper to buy a complete kit or a ready-built wheel.
