Cable and connector identification and supply

Hi,

I got this pedelec sensor, cable and connector:



I can get the black,red and Green cable and some black sleeving. Does anyone know where I can get the connectors? 7MD is embossed on the male and HX on the female.

If you mean the three pin connector, this is a JST SM 2.5 type.

A very useful assortment of JST SM 2.5 connectors is available from ebikes ca for eleven US dollars, the postage was about the same again. Scroll down to the 6th item

Yes, ebay is probably best for small orders otherwise the likes of CPC/Farnell also carry them but with a minimum order value...

Thanks blewit. Perhaps you can identify this one:

This is part of the lighting system that is on my HPvelo. Powered by a hub dynamo.
How do I classify the wire that is used? Is it copper? Is it small gauge? How is it ... umm.. measured? ...
If I need to extend the length is it best to solder or can I simply twist and cover with electrical tape? .. the joint is going to be inside the frame so is protected from the elements.
