In truth though spiders are not aggressive and prefer to avoid conflict with us. They only bite when they feel seriously threatened.

New park and ride opening as you enter Westcott A25.
Some nice animal wooden sculptures in Gomshall A25, all chained up to stop them escaping in to the wild.
Near to home a couple of Shetties mooching about.

Fantastic spring day for a 70 miler.
Little jaunt down to Pycombe then on the downs to the Amex arena via Clayton & Ditchling Beacon and then off to Shoreham.
Whilst at Shoreham 'The Saints' Jaguar has gone and now a bare empty spot remains, it will be interesting to see what if anything replaces it.
Maybe a Typhoon ? Before the Jaguar there was a Tornado.
Not often moths are day lighters this striking specie is ' The Cinnabar'.
Pic taken before I reached Ditchling Beacon.
At Shoreham a unusual 'Curry Wot'.
The original design is pre ww2 and the original designer was once was a de havilland man.
This one is a 1995 build.
At the old Toll bridge crossing the Adur (not far from where Kirstin lives).
A new permanent memorial to the 11 who died from the Hunter crash.
Each arch is dedicated to one of the eleven and somewhere each one has their name engraved.
Finally on the Adur, a mother and her 9 brood.
