Hi all

Does anyone know of a tripod style mount designed to fit on an e-bike?

Thanks
Mark

They are around on E bay if you search or google but let me warn you! because of the noise and the vibration they are not that good. When I was shooting simple video on my E bike I used a fitting that allowed me to have the camera mounted just about at chest height and that way your body takes the shock plus you can give a running commentary as and when, I try to find you a link.

This is what I use, I bought it from the place in the link Sima Mini Video Prop Chest Support SVP3 - B&H Photo Video but they were available in the UK you will just have to search around. You mount the camera and put the main strap around your neck, then just hold the top part in to your chest with a bungie. They have a QR plate and are adjustable for tilt so with a bit of fiddling you can make them work a treat, I used to position mine so that the lens just sat ontop of my jacket zip when 3/4 the way up and it gives it a bit more stability. Another tip is to tape some foam of cotton wool over the mike to lesson the wind noise.

On your search, did you come across a shoulder mounting by any chance?

The best footage for me is when I mount the Contour on a helmet, but I don't wear one on the trike. Nice tip re the cotton wool.
