Can I raise my Wisper 705 handlebars?

Hello, I wonder if anyone knows if its possible to do this ? I've already made all the adjustments I can to the angle and rake of the handlebars but an extra 3 or 4 inches of height would give me the ideal riding position . Thanks:)

Did you undo the screw underneath, Jjust behind and above the cable connection box ? this allows you to lift the angle a good bit.....

failing that move the seat forward as far as you can?

or maybe someone can recommend a 3rd party fix:p

I guess it has an A headset so has limited adjustment. First port of call is see if wisper can supply spacers but you will not get 4 inches. Easy and quick way to do it is use one of these.

Eddieo, yes I've done all that but thanks.

Appreciate your suggestions Overlander, will look into them as an alternative to adding a couple of inches on to my arms:)

Even as set up just now though I like my Wisper more and more every time I ride it. It feels rock solid on the road and the new super squashy gel saddle makes it a pleasure to ride, longest distance so far is 25 miles very hilly round trip done in a oner and I could still sit down when I got home!

The only problem with just moving the seat willy nilly is that it will probably put your pedals in the wrong position as opposed to your knees. Knee position over pedals is as important as leg stretch.

Thanks David, will email you. By the way thanks very much for your help with supply of de-restrict button, it arrived the next day, can't ask for better than that!

Eddieo, I haven't actually tried an Alfino but I've looked longingly at it a few times:)

Hi David, I've just emailed Steve and you don't have one available( not surprising as your post was made over 8 months ago!).I'm going to try to buy elsewhere and I wonder if you could give me some guidance sizewise on what I'm looking for to fit the Wisper. Overlander kindly suggested a Zoom Headsup Stem Extender Clamp on Steerer, do you know if this would fit the Wisper. Also , ideally , as well as raising the handlebars I would like them to be closer to me than they are just now so is it possible get a stem extender which does this too and which would fit the Wisper. I am as clueless as its possible to be about anything like this so any advice would be appreciated, thanks:)

Hi Tyler

I am sorry we must have run out.

I would think your best bet would be to pop into a local bike shop, that way they can see the Wisper stem and will certainly be able to offer you an alternative.

If you still need assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best regards

David
