Childseat on a Giant Twist Lite 2?

I have test ridden three electric bikes and am now pretty fixed on the Giant 2 Twist. However, I need it to take a childseat. The guy in the bike shop was dubious that one could be fitted on the back due to the battery. Does anyone know anything different? Would it be possible with a front-mounted childseat such as the WeeRide? Thanks for any advice.

Fitting a seat on the rear of that bike would depend on the fixing method of the seat, and the available rack-frame around that battery. But get the WeeRide! I am so jealous - when my children were younger, there were such dull and limited choices available to share cycling with them. I'm gonna have to wait for grandkids!:)

The WeeRide looks better anyway, having the child in front of you where you can keep an eye in him/her.

EDIT: And i see no reason it wouldn't fit.

+1 for child seats at the front. Instead of just being hauled around, the child is engaged in the experience, can talk to you and see where you are going. My son (now 5 1/2) still occasionally rides on our front facing child seat. I made it by modifying a rear mounted one.
