The article above points to a few good criticisms of the chinese e-bike market, but while most of China's electricity comes from the use of fossil fuels, this is always going to be a problem. Being in the South Island of NZ means my electricity is mostly hydro sourced, but the govt. here is just getting ready to strip mine our national parks for coal.
