Now I have ventured into ebike ownership I am hooked, our first bike is actually my wifes but I do use it for commuting to work.

The next stage is for me to either buy a bike for myself or convert my Trek 7.2 FX.

Has anyone converted this bike before? Is it a simple process to convert a bike? The cost is the main drive £500 should see it converted yet an ebike starts at £500 up to £2000

Its the 8fun kit that interests me.

New ebikes seem to be ridiculously expensive in the uk and I would never again go that way. The possibilities for diy/kit bikes are endless with some amazingly cheap kit out there, especially if you are fluent in mandarin. ev-power (europe) offer some good kit at more reasonable prices though I havnt dealt with them personally. 48v is gonna be my magic number!
