I have got a Izip Ezgo with a broken battery rack,so i took the batteries out of their case and put them in a old ruck sack mounted on the rear carrier, job done i hear you say,but i would like to know if its possible to fit a lighter type of battery and keep the controller and fuses etc.,make/type and price would be appreciated.
Thanks .
Brian.

The easiest option would be to fit one of the frog-type batteries that clamp on the seatpost, You have to decide how far you want to go to decide on the size of the battery. An 8aH lithium battery will go at leat as far as your last setup and perhaps a little faster. If you upgrade to a 36v one you'll go over 20mph.

You might want to get a new 36v controller at the same time if you go for a 36v one. Your old one might work at 36v, but best to be sure,

If you don't like the frog batteries, any 24v lithium battery will do. Whatever option you take, you'll have to solder on some new connectors etc.
