Hi again,

I have noticed that when I use the throttle to assist when I pedal the electric motor provides help to a higher speed than if I use just the pedal assistance. Is this how it's meant to be or is there a problem with either the pedalec sensor or the throttle?

regards

That appears to be common to most ebike's. The pedelec assistance tapers off as you reach the maximum assisted speed but the throttle gives full power up to the maximum speed set by the controller.

Thats how my cyclamatic folder works but with a larger chain wheel they balance out although my Alien kit bike always has a bit more power on the throttle.
