My friends wife has a Batribike it has 6 levels of power assist the next level is Auto which is throttle only there was an intermittent fault early on where it would skip the Auto mode and just go to level 1, this has become the norm now where it wont select Auto mode. Batribike have suggested that it may be a loose wire or bad connection etc. I have my doubts, so I would be happy to hear you thoughts on this. John

Cwah had something similar when he crashed and pulled a wire from his panel. We eventually figured out where it came from, so he soldered it back in and all was well again. If you could show a picture of the control panel we can compare it. If not, is it an LCD display?

I very much doubt that it'll be a problem with the controller, so that really only leaves the display panel. I must agree with Batribike that the most likely reason is a faulty connection inside that panel, i.e. a wire off or broken/faulty solder joint. Have a look and see if the wires coming out of the panel are pulled tight, or did it get knocked?

Thanks for your quick reply, yes it is an LCD display, the bike is about 7 months old and has had the problem from virtually new it has not been knocked or damaged in any way. I will pass on the information and get a photo of the panel, for a quick reference you can see the panel on the Baribike web site. Thanks again John.
