It was like a scene from 28 days later in Dartford, almost silence with nothing working. No traffic lights, mobile phone masts, landlines, TV, shops, lights, the whole lot was dead. About 100,000 people without power for up to 2 days all because of a fire on one small bridge.

Thankfully my battery has enough range for a round trip to work if I ride nicely in restricted pedelec mode so the lack of charger last night wasn't too bad. I'd be a bit knackered if I didn't charge it at work.
