Derby supply problems?

My Swiss supplier has been told that there will be no more deliveries of the Raleigh (Kahlkoff equivalent) before 2009 - I don't know whether there may be a general problem of undersupply which will affect the UK at some point. Maybe anyone who is thinking about it should order now?

I can only imagine its an issue of getting parts and or motors if this is the case. Certainly not good news if it's true.
