Di Blasi E-trike PAS ti thumb throttle conversion.

Have an E-trike which only has PAS, the type with magnets, is it possible to change it so it’s thumb throttle only? Can I just cut the sensor off and splice on an aftermarket thumb throttle? The kit looks fairly basic, there doesn’t seem to be a controller(??) unless it’s hidden in the battery...
