Those motors are very heavy. They're suitable for constant speed cycling. If you do stop-start riding or have hills, they're not as good as a geared motor. With that much weight at the back, you have to mount the battery forward of the seat-post somewhere. The supplied free-wheel's gearing is too low, so you need to think about adding £25 for a DNP one, although that applies to most rear hub-motors. One big drawback is the pedal sensor system. You get one level - maximum, which is pretty useless.

many thanks for the useful info, should have realised from shape its ungeared, will hopefully discover much more when I build bpm
