The e-bike industry has a good presence at the NEC Cycle Show. The show runs from Sept 29 (Trade Day),Sept 30 > October 2. I looked through the exhibitor list to pick out e-bike suppliers that I recognised,I apologise if I missed anyone-the e-bike suppliers are not highlighted and do not have their own pavilion.

Did you mean "test track" Dave or have you actually set up some kind of contraption, (rack) allowing visitors to get the feel of the bike, controls, etc? Surely not - must be a typo?

Hi there trade posters :)

I am coming to the show to look at the various bikes and try some out, along with my friend. I have a dodgy back (had a compressed disc and spinal surgery a few years ago) and my friend has a dodgy knee that causes him alot of pain. So an ebike is what we are looking for to get fit (we both have middle age bouncy tummys) but remain in comfort whilst doing it.
Will we be able to try lots of your models and do we have to book it in advance?
I have done a fair amount of internets research on various ebike things and would like to see for myself which is our best options. From the information I have gathered it seems like a crank drive, and hub gears are best but I want to see for myself, rather than simply taking others subjective views into account only.

Probably the only crank drive bikes will be Panasonic powered ones. I dont know if "justebikes" are there as they have the latest bosch powered Haibikes. but at least you wil get a chance to compare systems....

Thats the plan:)
During our interwebs searching all about ebikes we found that the array of choices mind boggling. But we do have a priority list which helps.
  • Comfort
  • Easy riding
  • Ability to attach a trailer for our fishing gear (we both try to catch fish with varying degrees of success!)

>Spinalot....if you have some bike mounting problems you may wish to consider step through type bikes....in the Uk we consider these as ladies bikes but in the rest of Europe Men realise that the ease of mounting is a big consideration.
I suggest you make your choice as quickly as possible, make appointments to test ride then return later to be sure of riding your choice....you can waste a lot of time waiting around.
