I'd like to build an electrically assisted tandem. I've been reading up the postings on the forum re kits of one sort or another. Does anyone have specific experience of building a tandem? I'd like if possible to keep the kit weight down and use a lithium battery for the same reason. I'd also like the bike to be a pedelec with no throttle, or a throttle which does not have to be used to propel the bike.
Ideally, I'd like a minimum range of 15 miles, say.
So, if anyone out there has actually built a tandem and has any tips, I'd be grateful!
