TBH I'm surprised that the English services LAS and Eastamb haven't yet deployed more e-bikes for their cycle response units - I'm fairly sure a Wisper for instance would work out to be same price and running cost as the customised MTBs most of these units use (which have such things as wheels upgraded to 13g spokes anyway to deal with the weight).

 

That said the Emergency Services are all devolved these days so each UK country can in fact make its own decisions..
