Hello

I'm a new member on the forum and would like to ask for help

I have self built ebike 36v 500w engine

After 2 months not using it i have recharge the batteries but engine won't start.
engine is with 3 main cables ( green, Blue, Yellow ) and one cube with 7 cables, connected to the controler like this one below

I have checked the throttle, battery pack and all connection, all looks good for me
However i noticed the engine's main cable ( 3 thick cables inside ) are getting warm when i push the throttle.

Should i check the controller some how, or connect engine on short circuit to check it first ?

I'm appreciate for any suggestion

Check the voltage of the battery at full charge.

Have you checked the voltage under load?

The battery is where I would start looking, but it could be a few things.

You have either a connection fault on the motor wires or the wrong connection sequence. You cannot always connect colour to colour. Do not use more than a little bit of throttle until it runs correctly otherwise you will blow your controller.

Tell us which motor and controller you have, and then we can help. Here's a table that tells you how to find the correct sequence:
