Has anyone used ETA for bike insurance? They are certainly on the more expensive side however from what they offer it seems like one of the better one's. Little things like if the battery is stolen it's covered as long as it's locked onto the bike which my bosch one is by default. One of the only policies I've seen which openly advertise this, I'm sure there are others. ETA pride themselves on being the most ethical & offering the full value as a like for like replacement, breakdown recovery. But I wonder if they're as good as their word? I already have a gold rated hiplok, my bike was almost £3k so just looking to protect my investment & peace of mind. I'd rather have the full protection than go down the house insurance route. Any feedback/recommendations are appreciated.

How much have they quoted you?
It's £22 per month if I want to cover it for the purchase price. Or £30 if I wanted to cover it for its value. I got the bike for £2850 just because it was a display model but it's current retail value is £4000. It's something I'm going to query with ETA if I decide to go ahead.

I put mine on my Legal and General house insurance last year. They charged me about £40 including an admin fee.
When it got stolen three months later they paid out the full £3000.
This did put my premium up next time by around £80 but I recon I'm still in front. Plus when the bike was found I made them a £600 offer for it, which they accepted. I recon I'm now more in front.
