I have just completed my second commute to work on my newly acquired Powabyke Classic Euro 2006 and I am suitably impressed. I purchased the bike second hand for £300 (didn't want to invest much more in case it wasn't for me) but I am very happy with it. I commute 4 miles each way with two route options 1) B roads with 3 hills or 2) Cycle track until I get into town and 1 hill. I have tried both ways and route 1 takes approx 18 minutes and route 2 approx 15 minutes so not much in it. I decide which way to go in the morning on how many sherbet's I have had the night before
I used to commute on a 50cc Yamaha scooter for 6 years and can't believe I never thought of getting an E Bike sooner. The scooter gave up on life back in April and until this week I had been cycling to work each day and although I am only 45, 9 stone wringing wet and quite fit, it was bloody hard work, especially when windy. The Powabyke is great and I don't turn up at work huffing and puffing and not a bead of sweat in sight. The only downside so far is the fact that the wife calls it The Milkfloat
