Well I've had an ebike now for about 7 months and done approx 1000 miles.
I've been using it to get to work most days, only really hanging up my cycling gloves over winter when it got too snowy/icy. Before getting my Cytronex I hadn't cycled much for about 10 years and my fitness level was pretty low.
I'm now cycling to and from work most days without using the electric assist at all - and there are one or two quite nasty hills on my route which is 7 miles each way. I'm feeling much fitter than I have in years and I've lost over a stone in weight.
I do wonder now whether I could do away with the electric assist altogether and I might think about selling my cytronex over the next few months - I'm carrying around approx 4-5kg of extra weight most days without using it. Having said that on those days where it's been tough at work or I've got a bit of a cold, it is great having the option of a little help. One thing for sure is that without the electric assist, no way would I have been cycling every day as I have or have reached this level of fitness so quickly.
Only downside really is that my trousers keep falling down
